ZEITENWENDE is planned as a two-part exhibition at two different locations in Berlin.

Part 1 started at CSR.ART Contemporary Show Room, Friedrichstraße 69, 10117 Berlin-Mitte from 27.04., extended until 17.06.2023.

Part 2 of the exhibition will take place in spring 2024, expected from 15.04 until 31.05.2024.

We reserve the right to postpone or extend the respective exhibition period.

ATTENTION: Special conditions prevail in the water reservoirs. During events, the acoustic peculiarities must be observed (up to 18 seconds of echo reverberation). The reservoirs have an average temperature of 8 to 12°C . The humidity is between 72 - 92 %, depending on the weather conditions. All external doors are equipped as escape doors. The standard equipment of the storage facility includes 4 fire extinguishers, permanently installed incandescent and fluorescent lamps, a house alarm system, escape route signs and a first-aid box.

All artists [f/m/d], regardless of origin, age and gender. You can apply with theme-related works. Artists with a degree in art or corresponding training will be prioritised in the curation. Artists without a degree in art have the opportunity to participate in the exhibition with their works, provided that they depict or embody the theme "ZEITENWENDE - Kunst und Gesellschaft" in a particularly relevant way. Don't be shy.

We do not charge application fees. Therefore, the usual gallery conditions apply in the event of a sale. If you are represented by a gallery, the gallery determines the possible participation of DEEDS.LAB gUG. Good to know: DEEDS.LAB gUG is a non-profit organisation. All proceeds from this exhibition will go towards new art projects.

Gallery owners can also propose artworks by their artists for the exhibition ZEITENWENDE. To cover costs such as venue rental, energy, curation, staff, website, 360 degree visualisation/tour, communication + advertising, we charge a small fee (please contact us directly) and DEEDS.LAB gUG would of course not participate in sales in this case.

To participate in the application process, send us the following by e-mail to application@zeitenwende.art:

Subject: Open Call Zeitwende 2023

• Complete contact details (name, address, email, mobile number)
• Max. 10 artworks (and accordingly please not more than 10 photos + possibly detail photos) with which you would like to apply (on PDF or Word document or as attachment (low res))
• Short description of the submitted artworks (on PDF, Word or directly into the e-mail; it must be clearly recognisable which text belongs to which artwork)
• Curriculum Vitae (CV) or tabular curriculum vitae (place of birth, residence and education + information on exhibition biography)

Then it's a case of wait and see. Sit back and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

The deadline for applications for part I (at CSR.ART) is on Wednesday, 19th April 2023 at 11:59 pm.

Addendum: The Open Call for ZEITENWENDE Part I (at CSR.ART) has been closed since 20.04.2023. But you can still apply for ZEITENWENDE Part II (in the water reservoir).

You will need your personal access code for the registration and upload area at www.zeitenwende.art. You will receive the code by e-mail as soon as we have checked your e-mail application.

Works of art of all genres by artists [f/m/d], regardless of origin, age and gender, on social, cultural and artistic turning points of the new millennium.

Nope. The main thing is that it fits through the door. Please note that you as the exhibitor are responsible for transport and handling. Suspension and fastening materials such as adjustable hooks, perlon ropes, screws and dowels are provided by us. The counterpart in the form of corresponding picture hinges must be  attached to the work of art. Any pedestals required for the installation of approved sculptures must also be provided by the exhibitor.

You can submit a maximum of 10 artworks for application. The curators will decide on the selection of the works. It is planned to present one work of each participant in the exhibition in the CSR.ART Contemporary Show Room. All other works selected by the curation will be shown in the satellite exhibition in the historic water reservoirs in Prenzlauer Berg.

The curation of the exhibition is done by the DEEDS.NEWS editorial team.

Don't call us - we call you. Please bear in mind that we receive many applications. We therefore ask you to refrain from making enquiries. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

We bear the costs for renting the locations, energy, curation, staff, website, 360 degree visualisation/tour, communication + advertising. You have to bear the costs for the transport to the respective exhibition location and back, the handling and the insurance yourself. You can find everything else in the Terms + Conditions.

The opening will take place at Gallery Weekend 2023 in the CSR.ART Contemporary Show Room. Part 1 of the exhibition opens there on Thursday, 27th April 2023 and runs until Sunday, 21st May 2023. Part 2 of the exhibition in the historic water reservoirs in Prenzlauer Berg runs from Tuesday, 3rd October to Sunday, 29th Ocotber 2023. We reserve the right to extend the respective exhibition.

The conception, planning and realisation of the exhibition is carried out by DEEDS.LAB gUG.

Yes. In the event that there is interest in purchasing a work of art, we are happy to mediate. We do not charge application fees. Therefore, the usual gallery conditions apply in the event of a sale.
